'For Jörg, Beatrix (After Study no. 20)' is a new work in which Conlon Nancarrow's 'Study no. 20' is transcribed onto 12 pre-recorded voices, which combine to relate some of the correspondence between Nancarrow and Jörg and Beatrix Borchardt.


It is being shown as part of the festival "Impossible Brilliance: The Music of Conlon Nancarrow".

As part of the new performance series London Topophobia, and experiment into the relationship between sound waves and light will occur.

In XY two performers voices are controlling the movement of lasers, creating close tunings and interference patterns which visually describe the relationship between pitches.

Marghera Harp is an iteration of a sound installation concept whereby metal wires are used to activate resonance within a space.

It mimics frequencies from nearby sounds, echoing and amplifying noises from within the gallery space.

January 2014 - Artists' International Development Grant, Vietnam

In collaboration with Dam Van Huynh/Van Huynh Company, Jamie will be researching sound/movement interactions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  This award is made possible through the Artists' International Development Grant, supported by the British Council and Arts Council England.
